Catching the attention of content readers and potential customers has become harder in a world filled with companies that inundate every inch of internet browsing space with consumerism and ad marketing. So how exactly do you go about engaging customers?
Even if you have a solid base of followers to your brand (whether on FB, Google+, Twitter, or any other forms of social media), they may quickly lose interest if you’re not updating often enough, or if your content becomes repetitive and uninteresting.
To engage customers, having them partake in your business through various active actions and creating involvement is an important tool moving forward.
What are some potential ways for you to engage clients?
1. Regardless whether you’re in the retail or service industry, create a contest for followers to get involved by commenting/sharing/liking and in return provide a free prize give-away, something value added, or a discount.
Put a deadline date on this give-away and watch how quickly your viral campaign spreads out as you don’t have to spend much money, but the shares spread out and many 3rd hand connections view your post and join in for free giveaways.
2. Reach out to various clients without sounding too intrusive. Ask them for feedback on your products and services, and try to provide what the consensus is looking for.
3. Create content with enticing headlines. While we don’t condone ‘Click bait’ headlines (headlines that have nothing to do with the actual article content, but are simply baiting people to click the article), you still want to make sure you have a sexy headline (with relevance to your article) to make sure it sticks out when compared versus all of the other information users have to filter through on a daily basis.
4. Provide your products and or free service samples for review experts on popular video media outlets. For example, find a popular YouTube channel that covers topics relevant to your business and ask them if they’re willing to do some review videos on your products to help send more attention your way.
So that being said, just stay creative, keep coming up with fresh ideas, and don’t use the same old conventional modes of marketing!
